PROGRAMME 2006 - 07.
The remaining dates are: Wednesday 17th January Maritime Archaeology - Dr
Colin Martin is Honorary Reader in Marine Archaeology in Maritime
Archaeology at St Andrews University and has carried out considerable underwater
research in Scottish waters. He is well known for his appearances on television
and is on the Editorial Board of “History Scotland”.
Wednesday 14th February Nine Potteries in Kirkcaldy - Jim Bell has recently published the
history of potting in Kirkcaldy along with a short section on Cupar. A brief
insight into the potteries and the research will be given. Members are welcome
to bring along and examples of Kirkcaldy or Scottish Pottery the may have. Wednesday 14th March Alienation of Pittenweem Abbey and East Neuk Intrigues - David
Affleck who is a member of the Society lives in East
Lothian and contributes to various historical journals. He has investigated
local history in depth and his explanation of the political intrigues will be
fascinating. Summer Exhibition 2007 - dates to be advised.
