Get involved

Do you have anecdotes of the old days in Elie and Earlsferry to share?

The Society wants to record stories for future generations. This is easily done in the comfort of your own home. It is simple and very informal. Just let us know and we will arrange to meet and discuss it with you.

Cleaning out the attic?

Don’t throw away anything which might be of historical interest, even remotely. The Society welcomes artefacts, leaflets, pictures, maps, documents and anything else relating to local history.  If you know of anyone moving house in the village with photos or memorabilia please let us know.  We will collect, collate and be most grateful.  We are anxious to preserve as much as we can for future generations.  Contact us via the webmaster or secretary.

Would you like to become involved?

You can assist in many ways:

  • Join the Society – your subscriptions and support – even if only passive – are much needed. Membership costs are: Annual – £20. Life – £100. Download a membership application HERE.  Please complete and return as shown.
  • Give some of your time – we need people to help build our digital archive. This involves scanning various documents, photos, maps, etc. for saving and indexing on computer. This is a major task and lots of help is required.
  • Spread the word – tell your friends about us and encourage them to join!
  • If as a result of anything you read here you would like to add some memories, ideas or comments please contact the Webmaster.
