Excellent, well written and superbly researched article on local government in the area.
Very interesting history of The Ferry. Having lived there during the WW2 years I knew some of the history but your enlarged report really completes the story’ I think you will have received a copy of my brother’s, (Ian M Johnston) reminiscences of his life in the Ferry. We both have great memories of those years and we are kept up to date with current events from Albert Lawrie a long time resident in Ferry Road.
